Writers in the Room: Writing the World

As things develop at SCAP, there will be many writers in the room, at classes, in performance and being interviewed.

This group WRITING THE WORLD, taught by Dr Linda Jackson and Donna Campbell, each with decades of facilitating workshops, is specifically for those seeking to make Scotland home.

The aim is to create a comfortable environment for those involved to feel able to share any stories or poems they may have from a life left behind and the new life of now. So far the results have been incredible.

What a wonderful sunday afternoon was spent at Street Level Photoworks. Guest writers, Jim Mackintosh, Eveline Pye and Mairi Murphy joined the writers from THE Writing the World project for a day of readings and chat.. Hosted by Linda Jackson and Donna Campbell, there was also an introductory talk on the exhibition, Migrant Memories by the photographer/creator, Moira McIvor.

Writers on Zoom

Hosted by Donna Campbell and Linda Jackson, SCAP Writers on Zoom was set up to bring some of the most talented established poets and writers alongside those who are now establishing themselves as writers.

The feedback from audiences and participants has been really upbeat and positive, so onward to 2023.
